Here, we will collect a summary of all current wars.
Anyone involved in a war at the moment? Give a Report.
I'll make one (or two...or three...) too.

We're...giving aid and troops to a war that is far away in Afghanistan? It's so removed from our lives that most Gen Y people don't even know why we're in it - it started with something about supporting America...after 9/11....
Aside from that, I don't think we're in any other international wars. Then again, my knowledge of wars etc. is rather lacking, so feel free to correct me.

Yes, yes you are. And thank you for that. Hopefully such things will be drawing to, well, if not a close for us, a close for our allies.
((...I'm still making my report. It's sort of long....))
Your military is deploying about 3000 troops in various engagements. One thing: I would suggest you look up Australian Trooper Mark Donaldson. He certainly deserves the gallantry medal he got.
In terms of Australia's current military ventures, they include the following:
- "Operation Slipper" in Afghanistan, as a part of our joint War there. Operation Slipper began in 2001 and has had 3 phases. It seems your troops were deployed with my own, as 1,550 Australian troops are currently in Afghanistan as a part of this Operation. I have no idea why they called it "Operation Slipper".
- The Australian military in Iraq, consisting of "Operation Catalyst" (the Australian contribution to the 2003 invasion of Iraq was known as Operation Falconer, and was the 4th largest among my country's allies. Operation Catalyst is the 2005 continuation of that. Australian troops under Operation Catalyst began leaving in 2008, completely left in 2009.) , "Operation Kruger" (a security detachment protecting your embassy) and "Operation Riverbank" (2 personel in a UN detachment).
- 37 Australian military personel are deployed in peacekeeping forces in Isreal, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. This is a part of "Operation Mazurka" and "Operation Paladin".
- There are 15 Australian military personel deployed with the UN forces in Sudan. 8 are in the UN's mission for African unity in Darfur.
- You have 140 stationed in the Soloman Islands, to assist them. They have had many problems with post-colonization instability, as well as other social problems. New Zealand and 6 other countries in the region also deployed some forces there to make a total of 2,200.
- "Operation Astute" has deployed 650 personel to Timor Leste to help keep the peace.
