The BP oil spill. We've all heard about it, all know what it is. They seem to have patched it now. However; as a brit in America, I have had to face ignorance lately.
It is British Petroleum, but a mainly American owned company.

On Humon's comments on one of her comics, this was decided: The drill was rented from a Swiss company, and built in South Korea. The company that makes the drill has a Swedish CEO. So, naturally, it's Denmark's fault.

Interestingly enough, I do agree that the UK itself should not be "blamed". However, as this is the #1 environmental disaster in our country, I will reserve the right to be angry about it.
But, you know what is also interesting? If I am correct, it was the British media who started this whole story about us blaming them, which our media picked up, which caused some ignorant people to start the blaming. So, the UK is partly to blame for blaming the UK? XD...
Still, the people who do blame the UK for what was the fault of a large multinational-corporation (not to mention our own laws, regulators, etc) certainly need to stop and re-evaluate.

That would make things much more interesting, in my opinion.
