If you had to pick one song to describe the country (countries, for some) that you RP as, what would it be? I would pick "You're So Damn Hot" by OK GO for Sealand, because it fits her ego, and she is fairly pretty. For Seborga, I'd probably pick "L'Italia di Piero" by Simone Cristicchi, because it's a funny song that makes me think of him (and the guy I base him off of!) What about you?

Scream Aim Fire by Bullet For My Valentine. Explains about the wars we had to fight off our independence from the colonies.

Difficult, I've got a couple (many) depending on how I'm seeing things at the time. "Simple Gifts", if nostalgic. "Our Country" if optimistic and patriotic "Battle Hymn of the Republic" if traditional and militaristic "Ground Control to Major Tom" if pessimistic ...but, I'd have to say, at the end of the day, the Autotune-the-News Song, "#10, Turtles" is the ultimate America-representing song.

The song Delilah by Tom Jones comes to mind, but more from her point of view. Bad Reputation by Fiona something. The one from Shrek. Ordinary Day, sung by Pavarotti, though that's hard to explain why.

DOCTOR WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Okay. Obligatory cheer completed, I would actually have thought the epic song, "Gallifrey, Our Childhood, Our Home" would be more....I don't know.....fitting? Maybe because it is sad/happy/everything...whereas the song you chose is mostly unhappy. But...maybe not. The end bit is more determined than anything. I guess anything from Doctor Who works!
Ah, and, I know I've already chosen lots of songs for America, but Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tamborine Man" and "Subterannean Homesick Blues", are extremely fitting, I think. Together, they almost summarize the country.
Breif lyric sample:
Get sick, get well Hang around a ink well Ring bell, hard to tell If anything is goin’ to sell Try hard, get barred Get back, write braille Get jailed, jump bail Join the army, if you fail Look out kid You’re gonna get hit But users, cheaters Six-time losers Hang around the theaters Girl by the whirlpool Lookin’ for a new fool Don’t follow leaders Watch the parkin’ meters

(and, yes, earlier I meant Space Oddity. First time I heard the song it was on a mixtape and mislabeled as that. Name stuck for me.)

Gallifrey is a song with an ending, a song which shows the days past.
Doomsday is a song which leaves with a question.

I had always taken Gallifrey as a song with hope for the future. But, I do see your point. The song Doomsday doesn't end, really. So, I found this song from the "Blackhawk Down" sound track: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcxQfCZ_9V8&feature=relatedAnd I thought it seemed like I could imagine every point in American history to it. Which, mostly, the other songs I chose seemed to only fit one time period or another.

When optimistic, "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter. When rebellious, "St Trinians" by Girls Aloud - the lyrics, at least. When depressed, "Bleed It Out," by Linkin Park.
That is all for now.
