What do you think about them? Are they really actual TV? Is the point of TV watching people do stuff like sleep? Why so popular.
I can't stand Big Brother, and I'm glad it's now over. I'll add more later.

Well...I haven't seen many reality tv shows. Mostly, because when I watch something on the TV it's always either the news, CSPAN, sports, or educational/science/history program, or one of a handful of shows I actually watch regularly.
However, from what I can tell, most reality television is very illogical and just sort of pointless. I can only offer as explanation that perhaps it is the television-version of the freak show at the carnival. An outgrowth of a very peculiar sector of human nature.

...Er... well, okay. I kind of have a guilty pleasure in reality tv. But only because it's fun to laugh at how horribly the people on it fail. Mocking it is half of the fun. (The other half is mocking people who think it's quality tv.)

I really don’t think that Big Brother should be counting as proper television. So, we watch a bunch of people stuck in a house argue and make fools of themselves? If I want to argue, I have my family for that, and I don’t need any help making a fool of myself. I just really don’t think there is any point for it. At all. I do like reality TV where the people are doing something worthwhile, such as the Apprentice (shuttup), Dragon’s Den and Top Gear. Oh, Top Gear.
