So on this thread, asian countries will post some facts about themselves. I'll start~
Indonesia existed centuries ago. We had kingdoms taking over and such till the European colonies started taking over. Our capital city, Batavia (Djakarta, now called Jakarta) lies on the island of Java. We have 5 main islands - Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua - and thousands of smaller islands and volcanoes and all is beautiful with the tropical weather we have here. We became independent on the 17th of August in 1945. Our president is Susilo Bambang Yudhiono (I can't spell it haha) and he's been running for 6 years and on going (people elected him as president again).
I'm actually a foreigner who lives in Indonesia so sorry for the lack of facts ^_^"

There were lots of kingdoms. Indonesia used to be divided into several kingdoms, taking over land and such.. with wars etc. I can name some of the kingdoms... : Majapahit, Sriwijaya, Kediri, Ternate, Tidore and yeah theres lots more. They ruled over hundreds of years before the colony stuff started.
Indonesia is really pretty. They have amazing beaches, forests and mountains. It's so... natural here and well, there's the famous Bali that all tourists would go to haha.

and it's funny, because scotch whiskey is a popular drink in india. and so is country homemade liquor, but...only to the natives. it's not cleaned and purified properly, so you'll get sick from it. my dad and mom had to go to the hospital from drinking a liter of it. me and my sister got dysentery from a SIP. ugh.
well, there's a fact for you. -scotch whiskey is a popular drink in india -so is country homemade liquor, but should only be drunk by natives WHO DIDN'T LIVE IN A STERILIZED, FIRST WORLD COUNTRY FOR 20 YEARS AND DECIDED HE WOULD BE FINE IF HE DRANK IT BECAUSE HE DEALT WITH INDIA FOR YEARS. (uhu. daaaad.)

I lived there for a while! Less than 2 years, but, still. It was cool.)) Indonesia, your presidency. Does it have term limits?

Ah, but how many terms can a president run for? ((example, in the US, there is a limit: if a person has been elected President for two terms (of 4 years each as well), then they cannot run again))

I'm not so sure... I think it might be the same as the US... but maybe it depends on the citizens... like what if they still want the same? lol but tis only an assumption.
