Everyone has something their proud of about their home. Home town, city, state, province, territory, country. What exactly makes you proud of yours? For me, it's how resilient we are. Living in Arizona is hard, especially because of how extreme the weather can be. Then, theres the wildlife. There is so much, but many people have no idea. I used to have javelinas, rabbits, eagles, hawks, coyotes, bats, snakes, and thousands of types of bugs in my backyard. The saguaro cactus only grows in the Sonora desert, and one of the easiest ways to tell when you've passed the AZ-CA border, is by the cacti. Anyway, what makes you proud of your home? Current, former, whatever.

I am proud that Indonesia has agreed to lead the Fair Trade Alliance over at South East Asia.

Woot for being a leader, Indy! ;D
.... CITY (AND STATE): I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I am most proud of our Calatrava Art Museum (thing looks boss), and the fact that we keep The Lake clean better than Chicago does. I'm also just proud of The Lake. Lake Michigan, that is. The Other Lake (Superior). Having really cool songs about sailing on The Lakes. Going sailing on The Lakes. All the universities in Milwakee. The epic Milwaukee Library. This one time I saw a guy walking a monitor lizard on a leash downtown....which clearly shows the amazingness that is Milwaukee. All the festivals, like Summerfest, Oktoberfest, all the different ethnic festivals, Bastille Days, etc. As Wisconsinites, we can buy beer at very low prices. We are the only state where you can register to vote before turning 18 as long as you will be 18 by the next election. We'll never run out of cheese. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is where the first normal cell was able to be regressed back into a stem-cell, a major scientific achievement in genetics. The Wisconsin capitol building (in Madison, Wisconsin) is ranked #1 out of all state capitols for how awesome it is. The capitol building's statue was taller than Lady Liberty in DC, but then they found out and made us shorten it. We have more lakes than Minnesota (don't listen to anything a Minnesotan tells you about that. They lie.) Snowmobile was invented in Wisconsin.

I'm proud that Birmingham is known as the City of a Thousand Trades, and, without Brummies, there would be no steam engine, so no Industrial Revolution so no technology at this level right now. The Jewellery Quarter, God-knows how many art galleries, Birmingham Museum and the ThinkTank. J. R. R. Tolkien. 'Nuff said. The Custard Factory, which aims to help youngsters become more creative musically-wise, and rents rooms and studios. The LG Arena, the Alexandra, Old Rep, The Rep, Hippodrome, Europe's second largest St Patrick's Day festival outside of Dublin, Dance Festival.

Brothers and Sisters in the Struggle, Indonesia. --slow-motion-high-five-- I actually had known next to nothing about Indonesia's history...now I can say I have at least a basic knowledge of it. One of the side-effects of Worldface, I guess! ... I've got a second cousin living in Birmingham! He says it's really large, interesting city. Only complaint was that everyone back here thinks he's living in Alabama, and tries to address letters and call with the area code of the wrong Birmingham. But that's just my stupid family's fault.
