Those little things you see in life.
A history teacher explaining Pearl Harbour to a ten year old. 'America was all like 'I'm totally above you pathetic warring countries. I shall not fight for ANY reason!' And then Japan bombed them, and was all like 'Whatcha gonna do, America~' and then America was all 'No you di'int!' And Japan was like 'Uh-huh'. And then America was all 'YOU LITTLE AXIS FUDGER! BRITAIN, FRANCE, RUSSIA, CHINA, WE BE KICKING AXIS ASS STARTING NOW!'
A cookery book entitled 'Axis of Evil'.
'When the Axis of Evil (Iran, North Korea and Iraq) are not making weapons of mass destruction or terrorising others, they delight in their regions cuisine. The Axis of Somewhat Evil Cohorts (Cuba, Libya, Syria) feature.'

UK: that explanation of WWII is just as good as any. That so is what happened. ... Where can I find said cookbook?! I suspect it includes information on weapons of mass destruction. HOW COULD THE CIA MISS THAT?! Also, I'd bet a really nice falafel recepie. mmmm, falafel ... Anyway. My Worldface-Worthy-Fail-Moment: Today I met 4 people at college who all liked the television show Doctor Who. Which was great! We're starting a club on campus. However. Two of those people somehow didn't know it was from the UK. Let me repeat that, because it's sort of hard to believe: they ENTIRELY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE DOCTOR WHO WAS FROM, YET THEY HAD WATCHED ALL OF THE TENTH'S SEASON. WHAT?! It was a FAIL moment. The other person of the four (who wasn't me and who actually KNEW where Doctor Who was from) was a German exchange student, was clearly thinking, "wow, you're all stupid"... and I had to explain that most people are NOT that dumb. It was a fluke I say, a fluke! I'm not sure I was believed. D: ..............................................

I strongly object to that assumption! XD
Anyway...both said they hadn't seen anything but some of the 10th's episodes. And I'm not even sure both had even really seen it...they were both female, and may or may not have had just said that for the benefit of my friend and/or I. So...when we were talking about the show, and said, "have either of you seen it?"...their responses might have been, if not lies, something close. I sure hope so, I'd rather my fellow citizens be (benign) liers than idiots.

My life is more like Failbook. And Alex, ask them if they know where AC/DC is from. If they don't say Australia, they're wrong.

Faith in dolphins but not faith in humanity's future? I'd like to inform you the dolphins are only in it for the fish. They'll turn on you in an instant if you don't have fish...

The dolphins are sentient creatures, who despair at humanity because they waste time making boring stuff like the wheel and war, and don't spend enough time messing around in water.
Not mine per se, but from a comic about a guy's life in high school, and after studying AP European History, something went along the lines of: Guy: Man, I'm hungry. Friend: Really? I'm Austria! Shall we make a dual monarchy? Guy:...Shut up.
