Napoleon was (kinda) awesome, though I doubt I should be admitting that. And he wasn't even French. XD

Kinda awesome, maybe. But I still don't like Napoleon all that much, because the French /could have/ had a nice, enlightened, modern-style democratic republic after their revolution, and Napoleon could have been principled once he attained power and made it happen. Like Cincinnatus of Rome and our Washington. But instead he just made himself emperor. Jerkface.
He wasn't French?! I sure didn't know that. Hm. Even more ironic, then.

Apparently, Beethoven was midway through composing a poem in honour of Napoleon when he heard that Napoleon crowned himself Emperor. And he tore up the composition. x.x
Technically he was Italian by ancestry and blood, but French by nationality as he was born in Corsica, which belonged to the French at the time.

On a tangent, Beethoven is awesome. 7th Symphony is where it's at.

I don't really listen to classical music, but I do love Brahms. And we are off-topic. So I must drag us all back before India finds out and kills me XD
Do little skirmishes count as war?

Maybe. Depends if they were "declared" as such. Why?

Whether the Israeli-Gazan 'skirmishes' count as a war.
